Day 12 – The Vet Calls

I’ve finished my week of antibiotics for la gardia and I have gained a kilo of weight. My coat is now nice and shiny all the time because if it gets dirty I get washed.

However the full test results came back today and now I need to take a course of different antibiotics to treat a different infection I have.

Day 9 – My First Pub

Today my owners parents took me into a pub so they could have some lunch. Everybody (including the staff) made a fuss of me and for the first time I was healthy enough that they could immediately see what breed I was.

Apparently my house mate is so chilled about life and being around people and other dogs because he was taken to pubs and everywhere else he was allowed with my family when he was a pup, so I get the same socialisation and hopefully will stay as friendly as he is.

Day 8 – On The Mend

For the first time in my life I’m doing solid normal formed poos. I’ve put on some weight so am on track to recovery and the vet thinks the 100g of weight I lost a few days ago were purely worms that I had got rid of thanks to my family worming me when the adopted me.

My owner and the family are worrying less about me now as I’m starting to play and act like a normal puppy, time now to focus on getting my house mate to play with me. He’s a lot bigger than me but walks away if I try to start a game with him

Day 7 – Family Day Out 2

Today I went to collect the groceries, I really like car rides and often just curl up and go to sleep. Once everyone has eaten breakfast and my house mate and I had been medicated we all got in the car and went on a family visit to the Cotswold Wildlife Park.

The staff loved me and kept giving me cuddles, it was nice but I just wanted my owner. I saw lots of animals that I didn’t even know existed, and my family liked the Six Striped Armadillo.

Day 6 – My First Family Day Out

Today the whole family went to Birdland and saw birds and dinosaurs. They didn’t have the dino I’m named after though (barryonix).

We saw lots of birds, but my house mate did a big lose poo confirming I had past my illness on to him, he is now on a course of antibiotics and being a bigger healthy dog has a very high chance of recovery.

Day 5 – The Vet…Again

I’m off to the vets again, poo sample in owners hand, and I’ve now passed whatever I’ve got onto my house mate so now my family have two poorly poopy dogs to deal with.

The vet immediately stops the intestine friendly food and prescribes a diet of I can eat what I want until I’m full (I love it). I’m also prescribed tablet form antibiotics, which I don’t like and try to spit out no matter how far down my throat my owner manages to get them.
